Research Line 1 Health Policy and Planning, Management and Health Care

The Health Policy and Planning, Management and Health Care line integrates the body of knowledge that involves the analysis of the formulation and implementation of health policies, as well as the organization of health systems and services, with a view to changing the health care model. In addition, it seeks to contribute to the development of studies on participatory management practices that involve managers, workers and the population.

 

Research Line 2 - Health, Culture and Citizenship

The Health, Culture and Citizenship research line seeks to investigate the socio-economic, cultural and political determinants that contribute to the health-disease process, at the confluence of historical, sociological, political and anthropological approaches, to produce knowledge in the perspective of integral health promotion and the development of citizenship.

 

Research Line 3 - Epidemiology, Environmental and Occupational Health

This line seeks to develop studies aimed at analyzing the frequency and distribution of phenomena related to the health-disease process, as well as their associated factors and causal inference processes in order to qualify the evidence for public health decision-making. It is also dedicated to the analysis of the psychodynamics of the working processes in the productive system. It considers health surveillance as a function of the State and as the larger field of application for the methodological arsenal of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Demography.

 

Research Line 4 - Translational Research in Public Health

The Translational Research in Public Health line promotes interdisciplinary research to accelerate the exchange of biomedical, technological, clinical, epidemiologic and health policies and programs. It aims to shorten the time to incorporate the results of the research in applied environments, involving patients and populations. Its main interests are innovations in products (medicines, supplies, equipment) and also in processes (clinical procedures, protocols and innovative models in Public Health).
